Our Favorite Green Juice May 13 2015

Makes 2-3 servings 

Ingredients: 4-5 medium apples, 3-4 large kale leaves (cut into chunks), 1 handful of spinach, 1 large chunk of pineapple (about 2 cubic inches), and 1 thin slice of ginger. 

Ginger has a long tradition of being very effective in alleviating symptoms of gastrointestinal distress. It's known as an excellent carminative which is a substance that promotes the elimination of intestinal gas. Ginger is also very useful in reducing nausea and vomiting of pregnancy.
