Our favorite apple-cranberry cider. Perfect for the fall holidays and full of flavor.

So, you went apple picking and you’ve made all the apple pies you can eat—now what to do with your apples?

Well, we have a special recipe just for you. This super easy apple-cranberry cider takes less than 10 minutes and all you need is your Kuvings juicer! There’s minimal work that needs to be done in mastering this recipe and we’ll talk you through it step by step.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium apples (see below apple tips)
  • ½ medium peeled orange
  • 1 lemon wedge
  • ½ inch ginger root
  • 1 cup cranberries
  • 1 large pinch ground cinnamon (or to your liking)
  • 1 large pinch ground nutmeg (or to your liking)
  • 1 large pinch ground clove (or to your liking)

Serves 2.

Apple Tips

Use Fuji, Gala, or Golden Delicious apples for a sweeter cider. Pink Lady, Braeburn, or Jonathan will give you a more tart cider. Use a mix of both for a robust flavor.

Product Needed

Kuvings Whole Slow Juicer, assembled with the juicer strainer.

Directions

  1. Wash the ingredients well. Peel the orange.
  2. Slowly add ingredients to the juicer one portion at a time. Allow the juicer to process each portion before adding more ingredients.
  3. Mix in cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove.
  4. Simmer over stove pot for 15-20 minutes. Add cinnamon sticks for more flavor (optional) OR serve cold.

Alternative Ways to Prepare Your Apple-Cranberry Cider

Add Sweetness

When you mix in your spices, it’s also a good time for you to mix in other ingredients. A popular addition is honey or brown sugar for more sweetness. How much to add is up to you!

Serve Hot or Cold

If you’re serving the cider hot, put your scented candles away—heating up this cider will fill your home with the tastiest aroma. Pour your apple-cranberry cider into a stove pot and let it simmer for 10-15 minutes, just be sure your cider doesn’t start boiling. For a stronger cinnamon flavor, throw in a few cinnamon sticks while it simmers.

If you’re serving it cold, you’re nearly ready to sit down and enjoy your cider. Just pour into your favorite mug over ice and there you have it!

Feeling Boozy?

No one blames you! Bourbon pairs great with apple-cranberry cider. How much to add is up to how boozy you want to get!
